A really good Devonshire cream can literally be the “icing on the cake” for your scones. And since “real Devonshire cream” can be hard to find- not to mention expensive, the trick is finding a Devonshire cream recipe that is really good and easy to make. After much trial and error and tweaking, we came up with a great one!
Delightfully Delicious Devonshire Cream:
4 ounces Cream Cheese
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1 1/3 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
1 Pinch of Salt
Directions:
Cream together the Cream Cheese, Sugar and Salt in a medium size bowl. Beat in the Heavy Whipping Cream until stiff peaks form. Chill until ready to serve.
